How it works
The daily commute quietly adds up. Seeing the monthly and yearly total often comes as a surprise, and it helps when you are weighing up a move, a new job or a different car.
The calculator multiplies your round-trip distance by the number of workdays, then by your fuel consumption and the price per litre. A 40 km round trip, 22 days a month, at 6.5 L/100 km and €1.85 works out around €105 a month, or roughly €1,260 a year.
